Walking on Water

WALKING ON WATER

“Then Jesus said, “Be brave and don’t be afraid. I am here!” Peter shouted out, “Lord, if it’s really you, then have me join you on the water!” “Come and join me,” Jesus replied. So Peter stepped out onto the water and began to walk toward Jesus. But when he realized how high the waves were, he became frightened and started to sink. “Save me, Lord!” he cried out. Jesus immediately stretched out his hand and lifted him up and said, “What little faith you have! Why would you let doubt win?” And the very moment they both stepped into the boat, the raging wind ceased. Then all the disciples crouched down before him and worshiped Jesus. They said in adoration, “You are truly the Son of God!”

On July 20, 2020, I awoke from this dream: I dreamt I was standing on a balcony with a couple of other people (they felt angelic), we were leaning against a white railing, overlooking the sea. The sun was rising but still at sea level, and the water was smooth like a sea of glass. There were hundreds, upon hundreds, of people walking calmly from the shore out onto the sea towards the sun. Then a big wave developed right in front of my eyes, big enough to reach me at balcony height. The wave shapeshifted into a whale with a person on it (both made out of clear transparent water) and the wave whale swam away fast towards the people walking on the water. I thought that the whale was super cool, and I told the person next to me that I would like my own whale to ride!

We watched as the whale with the person on it swam off toward the people walking on water, who were now frantic and all screaming and running back to shore! I didn’t know what they were running from, but when I looked towards the sun, it was now covered by clouds, and a black cloud had formed. I knew they were running from the potential storm developing.

I then walked inside the house and was standing in the kitchen talking to a man. I asked him where his basement was, and he just smiled. I was concerned that maybe a tornado was coming and that’s why the people were running. I walked over to the window that overlooked the sea and saw the black cloud starting to form into a tornado. Now, a bit frantic and with worry in my voice, I asked the man again, “Please tell me where the basement is in your house. I think a tornado is coming and I need to take shelter!!!” The man, still smiling, said with a calm peaceful voice, “You don’t need to worry. Trust me. There is no storm,” and at that moment I knew I was safe.

God is so good and faithful, isn’t He? I love how Jesus encouraged me in my dream not to hide in the basement from the storm, but instead, trust in His word that, “The storm will not form!” Amen! And today I have the opportunity to encourage you that when you see a storm developing not to run away in fear. Instead, take refuge in Jesus for He is our high-tower.  Truly understand too, to the depths of your soul, that whatever storms may be brewing out there, keep your eyes on the Son and keep walking on water!
