I talked earlier about the woman with an issue of blood. She was sick in her body and in her soul because she had been suffering for twelve long years and had “spent all of her living on physicians.” The Bible says she was healed when she touched the “border of His garment”– or, to be more specific, the wings of His prayer shawl (Luke 8:43,44).
At that moment, Malachi 4:2 came to pass in her life! “ The Sun of righteousness”, Jesus, arose on her with healing in His wings! She was healed in her body and soul by the glory.
“But unto you that fear my name shall the Sun of righteousness arise with healing in his wings; and ye shall go forth…” -Malachi 4:2
I believe her soul was wounded by the trauma she went through while trying to get healed. Notice that when she touched the hem of Jesus’ garment, the Bible says He felt “power” coming out of Him to heal her (v. 46). at word translated as “power” here is “dunamis”! Dunamis is made up of the glory of God and they both do the same thing, which is to heal your wounded soul. That day, the woman with the issue of blood was made excellent of soul. Then she was prospered in her health even as her soul was prospered.
You can have the same thing she received. When you’re worshiping God and the glory falls on you, say, “I’m touching those wings. I’m grabbing hold of the border of that holy prayer shawl right now.” Then expect God to release His glory on you to heal your wounded soul.
Even when you’re having one of those days when nothing seems to be going right and you just want to crawl into bed and hide from the world – turn on the praise music, lift up your hands in worship, and let His glory flow into your house. He will come with healing in His wings and lift you out of your funk. You see, when you earnestly seek God, He comes to you, bringing blessings and benefits. It’s as if He says, “I’ve come in response to your worship, because you pressed in and offered up the sacrifice of praise. And when I show up, you get healed.”
