Perhaps you’ve heard about the fellow who took a chain saw back to the hardware store and asked for a refund. “What’s wrong with it?” the cashier asked.
“It’s terrible,” the customer grumbled. “I can’t cut a thing with it.”
“Well, let me take a look,” the cashier said. He pulled the starter cord and the saw roared to life. The customer jumped back, clapped his hands over his ears in horror and cried, “What’s that noise?”
The saw had plenty of power – but it wouldn’t help the person who didn’t know how to turn it on.
God calls us to live daily within the glory and power of the empty tomb. Without the resurrection, Jesus would still be a man dead in a tomb and the payment He paid for us to be healed of sin and sickness would be dead in the tomb with Him. We need the cross and the resurrection.
You already have dunamis power. Now release it! Like the man with the chain saw, you just need to understand how to turn it on and let it work.
Romans 1:16 says,
“For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to everyone that believeth ….” (KJV).
Again, the word translated as “power” here is “dunamis”. According to this scripture, it was the power that brought about your salvation. This means when you received Jesus as your Lord and Savior, your spirit man was instantly filled with dunamis.
So, right now, you have a tank full of soul-healing power already living inside of you! At this very moment you have the power to perform miracles and the ability to be excellent of soul! Now that you understand this, you can release and receive into your soul what you already have. Just as you spend time decreeing the blood over yourself every day, start praying for dunamis to be released into your inner man.
PRAYER: Lord, I thank you for granting to me, out of the rich treasury of Your glory, that I am strengthened and reinforced with mighty power, with dunamis power in my inner man by your Holy Spirit indwelling in my innermost being and personality, AMEN!
