Give Heaps to Get Heaps

Lesson 14

In this lesson, I’m going to prove to you why you will want to take not only communion into the court, but you will want to take an offering into the court as well. Let’s look at King Hezekiah, because we want to follow in his footsteps.

2 Chronicles 31:2-10 (AMPC) ,”And Hezekiah appointed the priests and the Levites after their divisions, each man according to his service, the priests and the Levites for burnt offerings, for peace offerings, to minister, to give thanks, and to praise in the gates of the camp of the Lord. King Hezekiah’s personal contribution was for the burnt offerings: [those] of the morning and the evening, for the sabbaths, for the New Moons, and for the appointed feasts, as written in the law of the Lord. He commanded the people living in Jerusalem to give the portion due the priests and Levites, that they might [be free to] give themselves to the Law of the Lord. As soon as the command went abroad, the Israelites gave in abundance the firstfruits of grain, vintage fruit, oil, honey, and all the produce of the field; and they brought in abundantly the tithe of everything. The people of Israel and Judah who lived in the Judah’s cities also brought the tithe of the cattle and sheep and of the dedicated things which were consecrated to the Lord their God, and they laid them in heaps. In the third month [at the end of the wheat harvest] they began to lay the foundation or beginning of the heaps and finished them in the seventh month. When Hezekiah and the princes came and saw the heaps, they blessed the Lord and His people Israel. Then Hezekiah questioned the priests and the Levites about the heaps. Azariah the high priest, of the house of Zadok, answered him, “Since the people began to bring the offerings into the Lord’s house, we have eaten and have plenty left, for the Lord has blessed His people…”

Remember that Hezekiah had already reinstated the Passover, and had cleaned up Judah of idolatry. (Which is what we are doing). Then, he took a huge offering. How do I know that this offering has anything to do with the victory that happened in Jerusalem, when 185 thousand enemy soldiers were killed, Hezekiah was given 15 more years of life, and he became very wealthy? When Hezekiah was sick, Isaiah informed him to get his house in order because he was going to die. Hezekiah turned his face towards the wall and wept. Suddenly, the Lord told Isaiah that He had heard Hezekiah weeping and that he was to go back to him with a message. God told him that He had seen his tears, had heard his weeping, and that he was going to give him 15 more years of life. God also told him that He was going to defeat the Assyrian king, and that there would be a miracle happen when the sunlight went back 10 steps on the sundial of Ahaz. So, the planets actually reversed direction, and the sunlight went backwards ten steps.

Why does the Bible say the sun went back 10 steps? Not five, not three, not seven. Why 10? Because the word ten means, “to give a tithe”.

Look, you have been spending your money and time on idols. You have been doing unholy trades, and God is telling you to come back. He wants you to bring in heaps. He wants you to bring in the first fruits – the best. Your best is going to cause a cosmic level miracle to happen against the king of Assyria. It will open up the realm. People get nervous and silent when I talk about giving an offering. But, do you know how I got to this place of abundance in my life? I gave and gave. I’ve been building heaps for years. But, every time I give, I get heaps and heaps back. I’ll give a big heap, and I’ll get five times that much a week later! Every time I turn around, somebody’s stuffing a check in my hand. God says, bring the whole tithe to the temple and see if I will not open the windows of heaven. That’s what happened with Hezekiah.

Try to imagine that you have 185,000 vicious soldiers surrounding your house, and you’re asking, “God, what am I going to do?” God says, “Remember that tithe you gave last month, watch this!” Then you wake up the next morning, and the enemy is dead. You didn’t even have to get bloody, or put on your sword and shield.

Look, I just gave the biggest tithe in my life; it had a lot of zeros. And guess what happened after I did that? I got the breakthrough. I took those suckers to court, and took my tithe and offering up with me. I put it on the trading floor, took my communion, traded with the body and blood of Jesus, and bam! Now, I own 15 percent of a Christian network that’s about to go on the largest network in the world. I just had a group come up to me, and offer to build me a custom studio, the way I want it. Listen to me. I’m not lusting after food, money, or a studio. That’s the biggest thing of all. I found that peace in my soul.
