Do it afraid!

“Do it Afraid!”
by Katie Souza

“And I am convinced and sure of this very thing, that He Who began a good work in you will continue until the day of Jesus Christ [right up to the time of His return], developing [that good work] and perfecting and bringing it to full completion in you.” Philippians 1:6 (AMPC)

I’ve been reflecting on my spiritual growth since I first met God while I was in prison. Reading my journals has shown me just how faithful God has been to me, and how very much I have grown spiritually, since that time in prison.

My team and I felt you would be blessed by getting some insight into our team’s spiritual journeys and growth. We pray you will be blessed as we share these devotional reflections with you.

On February 11, 2001 I wrote in my journal, “I sang my first solo for church – I was scared to death. I prayed for God to have His Holy Spirit move. There were more people in church attendance than I have ever seen. People cried; got a standing ovation! Pastor Richtor said, ‘There’s no way I can follow that act.’  Then added, ‘Except with the Word of God’.  Everybody talked about it, even people that weren’t there. One girl said she felt tremors in her stomach.  Now I know what it means when God says, ‘Just show up and I’ll do the rest.’”

I heard about that Sunday for quite some time, even from people I didn’t know. It was a blessing and confirmation to me that God had His hand on me, and that I was moving in the right direction. I wanted so much to give my all to Him – to glorify Him with everything inside of me. I will never forget that day.

Have you ever stepped out and done something for God that scared you and pushed you out of your comfort zone?

If so, how did it turn out?

Today, ask God what He would like you to do that will glorify Him, then step out and do it!

Let us know how it goes!

Big Love,

I stepped out and started at church at 52 years ago and people have been transformed by the messages that the Holy Spirit gives me. I am amazed how He uses me to demonstrate His miraculous power. It took years to be convinced that I was called. And now I know….

Right on time. Our pastor preached a whole message on this one time. Thanks. I needed this reminder. God bless you.

I’m stepping out in New job closer to home since I don’t have a car yet due to wreck, and relying on nearby friends who are available.
