Are you trusting God for both the big and small?

“Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled, and do not let them be afraid.” John 14:27 (NRSV)
I have been here six months on the 12th of June. Another six months to go! I attended the prayer meeting at 12:30 p.m., went to work and buffed the whole dining area. Went to choir practice tonight. We practiced Nicole Smith, “Closer to the Heart of God”. I walked three miles today.
“Above all, clothe yourselves with love, which binds us all together in perfect harmony. And let the peace that comes from Christ rule in your hearts. For as members of one body you are called to live in peace. And always be thankful.” Colossians 3:14-15 (NLT)
The Lord is showing me that love is what He wants me to learn. When I tried it in our room, it totally changed the whole atmosphere! Church was canceled. But at choir practice, we were singing “Grace and Mercy.”
At Temple Baptist we heard about how the eagle waits for a storm, then flies into it, so it can use the winds to get even higher. We sang “Grace and Mercy”.
I need you Father.
(Side note) I got this scripture, “Ye have seen what I did unto the Egyptians, and how I bare you on eagles’ wings, and brought you unto myself.” Exodus 19:4 (KJV) Then I turned to this page of my journal! Coincidence? NO!
I blew it at work! I went off on Queenie-Lord forgive me.
Queenie and Fran did not come to work today. Praise God, He has a plan. I buffed the entire dining room and staff lounge, two ladies said I do my work with pride and joy. Mister H said thanks.
At 12:30 p.m. prayer meeting we read Jeremiah 28. It was about the false profit, Hananiah, going against the true profit of the Lord, Jeremiah.  The Lord told Jeremiah that He would remove Hananiah for preaching rebellion against the Lord. I put a note in my Bible that this was scriptural proof that we can pray for someone to be removed. Twenty minutes later S.V. came in and told me that Queenie and Fran were on the change sheet to go to C.M.S. (Centers for Medical Services). God removed them from the floor crew!! Praise the Lord!
I’m a child of the King. Don’t mess with the King’s kids!
While I was incarcerated, I had to trust God for the large things (my appeal and my mom’s health), but I also had to trust Him for the day to day trials.
What are some of the large things you are trusting God for?
Now, think about it, what are the small everyday things you need Him to act upon? Share with us below!
Have you been blessed by this ministry? If so, consider Partnering with us or making a One Time Gift! I wish above all things that you may prosper and be in health, even as your soul prospers!
Even tho’ i am still doing my degree in ‘not getting offended’ i can get irked about smaller things. I get a lift of an elderly lady who has the radio really loud when i get into the car and she would expect to have a conversation over the noise. My annoyance showed through and it was tense. I was trying to work out ‘who’se right and who’se wrong here?’ when i realized it didn’t matter who was right or wrong i had a wrong attitude when i got into the car. I started to quote John 14 v 27 for hours until i felt a shift then i went and bought her a thank you card and Jesus brooch. Next day i got into the car and sang along with the music and listened to her the best i could! I loved the picture of the eagle flying into the storm. I am hoping my next storm will see me prepared and armed so i can thrive in it and not be overcome.
God bless.
I am beleaving God to supply vehicles for.us as all.of ours and the friends we are using has issues and for the finances to get them.legal and pay bills for the small things i am beleaving for me.to keeo my temper esp at work. And for me.to show Christ to others at work and at home and for my daughter for health really for health for all of us
I think your great work ethic has helped you become successful and the way you work with joy
Thank you, Katie, for sharing your journal entries! Each entry is so humbling to read and also inspiring to see how God works in our beginnings with Him! It reminds me of the verse below:
Zechariah 4:10 (NLT): Do not despise these small beginnings, for the Lord rejoices to see the work begin, to see the plumb line in Zerubbabel’s hand.
God bless you and your ministry team!
